Yeah, I said that since it is a pretty level playing field - as every major chain has them - but I didn't say I liked them - what is with you? What a bizzare thing to say. Nobody can have a different opinion than you???

And no, I have nothing to do with hospitality, just a retired 40 something who can afford living in Hawaii - Paid my dues on United and SW.

Here is my philosophy which I guess you don't agree with - I'd much rather pay $30/day to be on the beach than the hotels not on the beach. I get the upgrades - and the Sheraton Waikiki Oceanfront Suites are bigger than a lot of apartments on Waikiki - the infinity pool is hard to beat and sure one can stay at the Halekalani next to the Sheraton - a very nice hotel - but you'd pay twice the room rate. You can stay at one of the Outrigger hotels - but, they just aren't as nice.

I don't see why someone would downgrade themselves over $30/day when they come all the way to Hawaii. Life is short.
