I have no doubts about that, I never expected 1 to crash into the ground or drop out of the sky. Since you were going LAX-IAH you were never far from a place to safely land, should a warning light or smell of smoke occur. Flying TATL or TPAC is something else where the nearest place to land could be 2+ hrs away

So top mgmt wasnt worried about lossing a plane and thusly why they felt it was Safe Im sure. To me Safe means not expecting any warnings lights or potential problems while in the air, which couldnt be ruled out and what was occurring to the other 787s

So yes no 787 has ever crashed but that doesnt mean its a safe plane to be flying with passengers on it
