And an eyeballing of a line at ONE given time does NOT qualify as an accurate survey. I'm not saying the hotels aren't busy, but I'm not putting much weight in your survey methods. And if there's a conference in town (there is), peak season has nothing to do with crowds.
And for those justifying the RF by saying it matches the parking fee, the parking fee was NEVER $30, and it was NEVER mandatory.
First off - I didn't say resort fees are justified - I was mearly stating facts.
Second - I live here - you can't avoid on a near daily basis on the news and newspapers the record tourism in 2012 - with another breakout year in 2013.
Third, it was just an observation at the Shertaton this past Sunday as I went to enjoy the sunset at Rum Fire that it is really odd on a off peak month on a Sunday having over 100 people trying to check in.
Lastly - guess what, they room rates are skyrocketing also - you got your wish - average room rates went way up in 2012.
And guess what else is in the news with all these records - yep, they are going to start raising all the taxes.....
