......oh yes, for an individual plan for Blackberry service which maintains the "corporate crackberry ding" as soon as an email arrives...... SIMple Mobile service has a $50/month no-contract unlimited USA talk/text/email service which is working just fine on last year's BB which was sitting in a drawer......
Stayed with a BB since I'm accustomed to its keyboard, long-life battery and I can drop it on the sidewalk a few times a day and it keeps on ticking (in contrast to friends' often-cracked screens on various smartphones)......
A local independently owned cell phone repair/low cost services vendor storefront was happy to unlock the BB, slip in a SIMple Mobile SIM card, program BB to received my gmail account for $40, incuding SIM card.....just needed to be sure they were signing-me-up for the Blackberry-type service, rather than the usual smartphone services..... hope this helpful!
