But what time do they open on Sunday? LA area to SFO on coastal route is already a full day drive and if the rental car places don't open until 8 or 9, well that is half the morning gone. If you are feeling well enough after your flight, I might try to make it to Santa Barbara Saturday night. Would the extra day on the rental car break the budget?
