You should have just gotten the credit card company to stop payment the second that you realized something was amiss, and that is still your best course of action now. A corporate entity can exert far more pressure on another business than a single disgruntled customer could ever hope to.

Or is it not really about the money, and more about a personal vendetta against "dishonest Japanese"? (your words, not mine)
