If you want to ignore the administrative fee from the for-profit company, the repercussions are probably much less than ignoring the underlying citation, but ignoring the citation itself has government teeth behind it, so proceed with caution. So, contact either the car rental company or the for-profit citation processing company to ask them for a copy of the underlying citation be sent to you by fax, e-mail, or snail mail, but just ignoring the situation could be quite damaging to your bank account, your driving record, and/or your insurance premiums.
