Record occupancy and record tourism translates to greater gouging opportunities....and Resort Fees are nothing but a gouge to grab money from people who are otherwise not using services in the fee (Internet, parking).
What if I went to McDonalds and ordered a hamburger by itself, but McDonalds insisted that I pay the value meal price even though I didn't want the fries or drink?
What if I took my car to the dealer for an oil change, but they charged me for the 25,000 mile service even though I only receive the oil change?
If I need to park my car at the resort, just charge me for parking and be done with it - don't force me to pay for parking if I don't need it, then justify it by telling me about the bottled water, gym access, beach towel, welcome cup of punch or any other gibberish I'm not interested in.
