I opened my United MileagePlus Explorer card almost a year ago (fee is due in March). Called today and asked to speak to a retention specialist. Explained that as I was using my CSP a lot I was considering closing my United card. I was offered 5,000 MP miles to keep the card open which I gladly accepted.
