Hello,

I am trying to plan a trip using points from Chicago (ORD) to Dublin (DUB).

While there is a direct flight, American wants me to spend 100k miles each way for the reward ticket.

So instead I'm looking at connecting through LHR, which would allow me to use 50k miles each way.

My question is, how much time should I allow for connecting, since I'm coming from the States?

There's one flight that lands at 11:35am and the connecting flight leaves at 1:30pm, but is that enough time to get off the plane, go through customs and get to the next flight? It's basically an hour for customs.
