I was there in October 2012 for 3 nights. Yes, the rooms are slowly being renovated, very slowly. On Check in they asked if I would like a corner suite or one of the renovated rooms on the 12th floor. I got the impression that none of the suites at the time I stayed had been renovated.

I took the renovated King on the 12th floor and I saw one other room on the fl under construction. Basically, the renovated room had fresh paint but I really could not tell anything else as the furniture was well used and it look like the carpet was not new.

However, I did enjoy my stay and they offered your choice of breakfast down in the restaurant / buffet or ex lounge. I took the restaurant choice and it was very good. Also, the pool side cafe for afternoon snacks and drinks was nice as well.

I was on a points stay and I am a plat.

P.S., shuttle to and from the airport provided free of charge for plats not sure if they charge if you are a gold for this service.
