Hi,

I was trying to book 3 complex award tickets for me and 2 friends and I made a dumb mistake and didn't pay using my United Mileage Plus Card because I didnt have it with me at the time. So my question is, do you have to pay with the Card to actually get the benefit of priority boarding? Or does United know that I'm card holder whether or not I pay using that card?

If United doesnt store that in my MP account, anyone have any idea how much of a hassle it would be to put it on the United card after having paid with a different card? Would they have to cancel it and start over? Its 5 different flights on UA, Lufthansa and Swiss air, so I'm nervous to lose all that and not sure its even worth it...
