BA means marketed or operated by BA
O:BA means BA metal (don't want to accidentally do the TATL on AA!)
Matrix has millions of possible combinations to explore, which can be cut down if certain restrictions are applied. So "alliance oneworld" will wipe out all the airlines outside of that alliance from the search space and "f ..I7SALE" will wipe out any combinations that can't be applied to that fare basis. Some of the restrictions aren't primary (I think that's the term they use), which means they only filter the search results and don't do anything to make the search faster. To get the 24 hour connection I specified a segment LON-JFK-LAX with "minconnect 1435" (23:55) forcing the JFK layover to be as near to 24 hours as possible and also specifying I7SALE which doesn't allow stopovers.

This works for me:
BRU :: LON BA1-4 JFK DFW / alliance oneworld;f ..I7SALE
