Platinum and PP status is ONLY recognized by reservations when generating revenue. 3 years ago the Marriott Concierge communicated: "...priority for point redemption reservations isn't a benefit of Platinum status. It has been discussed from time to time, especially a few of years ago when we were considering how to update some aspects of the program, but ultimately the direction we went was to eliminate black out dates." Presumably Marriott doesn't get a sense of this frustration among its members and has no motivation to change it, while I continue to seethe over this. Am I alone out here with this frustration?

The reference to Swingtrain, who I was replying to, was for further redemption options for both PP and Plat, not just for PP.
