This is a rant...
Back to Groupon for a moment...
I had quite a frustrating experience last week. There's a sushi restaurant that has gone back to the well several times. Actually, everytime an issue of Groupons expires, they introduce another. I love this because the restaurant has become my favorite -- quality, regardless of price. However...
Something new: I printed off my newest one, and confidently took it for lunch as I always have. $15 for $30, as in several previous rounds. Time to pay. The server pointed out that it said "...for two" For one, it would cover the paid value, $15. "Wha--?" He went to speak with the manager on my behalf, and she made a one-time courtesy exception. When I spoke with her directly, she said that most restaurants taking Groupons are switching to this policy.
I have myself to thank. Perhaps this will alert you kn case you were headed into the same situation, and you might thank me, too.
Beware.
