I thought this was just for Aloft and Element brands? I was unaware Four Points properties were included. Obviously all suite properties [W westwood comes to mind], don't have to upgrade above what is indicated.
Maybe I'm wrong, but it's been explained to me by pointing out that alofts and Four Points don't have suites. I've been "upgraded" into deluxe, renovated, and "club floor" (with no lounge but including breakfast and water) rooms at Four Points and to high floor/better view rooms in aloft.
I'm talking about Starwood brands where Plats don't have the published benefit of being upgraded into a standard suite. Obviously if any property is all suite or has no suites at all, Plats won't be upgraded into suites.
