I can highly recommend the Albergo Cesari. Great location, clean rooms and reasonably priced.

Remember that in Italy you must reserve a room that will accommodate all of the people in your party - regardless of age. Rooms for 4 people will be hard to find. I know the Cesari has 'family rooms'

The Hilton properties in Rome are not ideally suited for sightseeing.
