It may be only 30 mins by air but it's several hours of hassle at each end. The train take you from downtown to downtown in less time overall as is much more pleasant experience. We have offices in NYC and BOS and the only time anyone flies the route is if they have a connecting flight at the other airport.

As for the OP, you should likely have the new F traveling to Boston. I had it on 9 of 12 flights in 2012 and the last five all had it.
