What are the luxury boutique hotels in the Philippines? I know about Amanpulo, and wonder what else is available. I'm interested in hotels ideally with under 20 rooms. I dislike large resort properties. I have no interest in Manila hotels.

There has been some conversation in this thread but I wanted to focus my query on intimate properties.

I mentioned the Abaca Resort, a short drive from the Cebu Airport. TripAdvisor reviews are remarkably positive and not from one post wonders. However, when I checked pricing again, I found that the price shown was per person. When all is added in, the price is near comparable with Amanpulo (less the cost of the airplane transfer).

Is anyone familiar with the Abaca Resort? What did you think? What other small luxury properties are there in the Phliippines?
