Just to update you all. I'm finding out in the net few days if there is availability to come back from Tokyo.

Havign spoken to Air New Zealand, it's going to be about £2800 to get return business class to aukland from tokyo - and they've said it's all 777-200 that far in the future. I will establish what happens if it isn't in terms of refunds.

So it would work out at 150000 avios and 2 x 800 pounds for first to hnd and club back from nrt and then business premier between nz and tokyo. that sounds like a pretty good deal. That's total for both of us.
