Agreed. However, some cards do state that explicitly like the US Bank CC card. They charge 3% on top of the cost for foreign purchases in another currency and 2% for foreign purchases in USD.
All of my current cards, even the ones that do charge FOREX, do not charge me for using my cards in Cambo however. And do to this I won't use my Club Carlson Visa except in the US.
It's needs to be understood on a bank by bank or cc by cc basis.
