Forecast for HK is around the 18C mark at the moment, so not worried about over there, and I'll have my suit jacket anyway. Thing is this is a one-off for me - the trip was booked quite late on so normally I would have kept the diary free that day, too. Wear you warmest coat and carry it when you get to Hong Kong. You should always dress for the coldest place you are going to be and can shed when yuo get the otehr end. I'd take a light garment bag with you and the coat can go in there when you get to Hong Kong and similarly you can don it again when you get back to London. If you get stuck somewhere and it is cold frankly that could make you feel quite wretched. You are going to work not climb a mountain or dressing like a No Parking lamp or a homing beacon for incoming helicopters.
