Hey everyone,
I'm arranging a 3-day car rental reservation for a Colorado ski trip for a friend's bachelor party. I'm responsible for transporting four men (myself included) and luggage from Denver International to our rental house outside Breckenridge. Additionally, we will be driving to and from the ski resorts (with ski equipment).
I have two confirmed Hertz reservations at this time, both utilizing my AAA membership and free weekend day promo code. Looking for advice on the two SUV types, as they appear similar on paper, which has me leaning towards the cheaper midsize option. For anyone who has rented an Escape or other midsize SUV, do you foresee any issues with cargo space or ski equipment transportation?
1. Midsize SUV (Ford Escape or similar)
- 5-passenger 4WD/AWD
- 2 large suitcases, 2 small suitcases
- $265 after taxes & fees
- About $67/person
2. Fullsize SUV (Chevy Traverse or Similar)
- 7-passenger 4WD/AWD
- 2 large suitcases, 2 small suitcases
- $345 after taxes & fees
- About $87/person
Thanks in advance!
