SYD-LAX vs. SYD-SFO is one preferred?
UA840 SYD-LAX

vs.

UA870 SYD-SFO

Connecting to the East Coast, so it doesn't really matter which one I connect through.

Is one of these flights preferred over the other, or is there something I'm forgetting/missing that would make me want to pick one flight over the other? Both are ghetto-bird B744s so I am not getting a hard-product gain/loss on either, in terms of seat or IFE.
