If we were having this conversation in June, after you had graduated and started your job, it would be one thing. But as things stand now, I would guess that Amex would expect the income you put on your credit application to be your current income, not what it might be 6 months from now. If you get an FR before you start your job, I would expect it to go badly, as you put false information on your credit application.
The reason I put that as my income was because one CSR from some other bank, either Chase or Citi, told me before that I could use that number in my application when I was applying for another CC on the phone.
