Hi folks.

I've recently received a new Mastercard that's directly linked to my account like a debit card. It's a USD card and as expected they charge forex fees:

Transactions requiring currency conversion
2.49% + wholesale exchange rate

My question is: what happens when I use the card in the Bahamas where the local dollar is 1x1 with USD? Will I still be charged the forex fee?

I'm planning to use the card mostly to withdraw cash from atm machines since I'll be travelling to one of the out islands where few businesses take cards. Atm withdrawals cost 1.80 Euros and I'd like to know if the forex fee will be charged on top of that.
