Around Christmas time there was tons of J and even some F award travel available on QF so I felt comfortable with a relative booking a J award with a QF partner (but only in Y) for MEL even though J was not actually available yet for the return. Monitoring with ExpertFlyer but still no availability. Any thoughts about last minute J awards opening in mid-January. Already spent the miles.
