We did a mini RTW per below mostly in J, booked in Jan. 2012 and travelled in Dec. 2012. When I booked it we were only able to get 1 seat in J LAX-RAR and no seats in J PPT-AKL. I monitored for the release of the missing J seats from Jan. through departure and in that entire time only 1 J seat came up for the PPT-AKL route. Interestingly both flights went with several empty J seats - they never did fill them.
