Another interesting related article in La Tribune (so, again in French, sorry)
http://www.latribune.fr/entreprises-...-business.html
Basically :
- The implementation of new 1/2/1 config in J leads obviously to a decrease in the number of J seats proposed
- in B77W, the number of new J seats will be 58 (downs from 67). Of course, I'm not talking here about 77W in COI config. The article do not say if those COI birds will get the new seats. I'm guessing that they won't be high in the priority list !
- In B772, the number of new J seats will be 40 (currently about 50 or 35 depending on the config with or without P)
- the size of the J cabin will be decreased in July and August when the demand decreases due to the summer holidays (the new J seats can be quickly installed/removed)
- less J seats means less flights attendants (needed as less J seats means less revenues). On B77W, it will be down from 15 to 14 in winter and to 13 in summer (due to the seasonal reduction of the J cabin)
- the Airbus fleet is not concerned (yet ?) by the J retrofit. I hope they will change their mind soon, especially for the A380 which are new (or almost)
- no more F in B772
- F seats in B77W down to 4 (from 8)
