I think the problem with Global First is that its not really unique or distinguishable. I spent 99% of my time flying CO BF and for what it was it was a good product. But I think the fact that the catering is essentially the same (yes you get warm appetizers and soup), the on-ground experience not really any much better (ok they have F lounges but no seperate check-in, etc), and an overall lack of product push, its almost like UA is trying to kill off Global First slowly....yeah they threw in the turndown service (which I flew LAXLHR and the pad was there but I had to do the turndown myself), but there are a few things they could do that would essentially boost the product without exactly breaking the bank.
