PC system keeps changing number of guests on award rez
Wednesday night, I made a reservation for 2 people in a standard room with a queen bed (HI St Germain, Paris). The next morning, Award Wallet alerted me that it had been changed to 3 people. I had it changed back via online chat.
This morning, I get another alert that it was changed back to 3 people, now with 2 single beds! And this is supposed to be a 2 person max occupancy room. This time I called, and the agent tried to give me a little bit of scolding that "this is what you reserved". I still have the original email confirmation, however, and with a little pushback she changed it to 2 ppl, queen bed again.
Has this happened to anyone else? The agents don't have any clue what I'm talking about (and apparently can't see a history of changes to the reservation?) and said if it happens again to just call and have it changed again.
The agent I spoke with today said she didn't think it was being changed on the hotel side, but it does appear to be happening overnight, which would fit with something being changed in Europe. Needless to say, I'm concerned that when we arrive we'll have trouble with our reservation.
Should I cancel and rebook? The hotel is still available. Should I contact the hotel directly?
