I am baffled by the recent spate of posts saying either: "route xxx to yyy is so many thousands more than it used to be" or "route zzz to www is so many thousands more than the competition." Who cares? Fly AC or fly somebody that offers you better value. Does anybody think that AC is obliged to offer them the cheapest fare with full status miles and a high chance (guaranteed) upgrade on every route?
I agree whole-heartedly with your sentiment about not flying AC if you don't see the value. However, I'm loathe to discourage posters from pointing out these types of discrepancies - I think it's valuable information. Whether it's presented in a whining or factual fashion matters not - it's the "data" that's important. Perhaps a better solution to your concern about "whiney" posts is to ignore them if they bother you.
