I just wanted to add to this that if we did discover through standard account audit that a purchase had been made through an illegitimate channel we can suspend the account and remove the Avios. Furthermore, if a booking had been made with these purhchased Avios, we can and will cancel the booking(s) in line with the EC Ts&Cs that Prospero kindly shared.

I hope this helps as I would not like to see any member spend such a significant amount of money on Avios purchased through a non-BA source only to later have them removed.
