I am CK and my three kids are Gold. I book well in advance, get good seats together and check my reservation regularly. Even so I have two examples recently of last minute equipment changes where they seated us throughout the cabin. Luckily they were always window or aisles and I was able to trade and have never had an issue with other pax trading.

PS on both occasions the GA would do nothing
