Looking at YYZ - GIG for next month. AC YYZ-GRU in J is $6,200 return. TAM GRU-GIG is $300 in Y (no J available) for a total of approx $6,500 but as two itineraries. On AC.com YYZ-GRU-GIG for same flights and class as one itinerary $8,500. $2,000 extra for one PNR??? The connect time is 3.5 hrs so separate bookings would not be a problem. UA is $6,500 but with an extra stop in either ORD or IAD. I understand the concept of market pricing but AC is $2,000 above the market price so I am baffled.
