Did a quick search on this board, but couldn't find any information. I have 3 business + 1 corporate cards with AmEx. (Plat, DL Plat, Costco True Earnings & Std. Green Corporate).

In the next couple of weeks, I am going to open the Mercedes-Benz Platinum and SPG cards. My guess is that AmEx suspects they have extended sufficient credit to me already. Additionally, I don't want to float the 2 Plat annual fees.

So I need to get these 2 new cards, and want to drop the old Platinum card and the Costco card. Should I call and cancel these cards now, or wait till application and then cancel / bargain to cancel to open new ones?
