Looking for Syd->LAX/SFO->EWR->GLA and return booked on one PNR
outbound on july20th and return on the 28th
(Syd->EWR on 20th(20hour layover) EWR->GLA on 21st)
(return is no more then 6 hour layover at any place)
looking at SYD->EWR its $1350 and EWR->GLA is $1350 for a total of $2700
which is the less then the cost of booking anything via asia that will earn 100% EQM

Both the Syd->EWR (k) and EWR->GLA (s) fare rules say ETE is permitted and no exclusions

But when trying to book it it will only give me EWR->GLA as a Y fare :-(

If I look for the same thing at the same date range but to FRA/OSL/LHR it will pull it up fine

Am I missing something stupid?
(Looking at all UA only....)
