I would recommend 2 x AA Citi Cards for 50,000 miles each. With around $6,000 in spending this should net you 105,000 miles. If one of you alone did this you would have enough miles for an Off Peak Award ticket to Europe which only costs 40,000 Miles Roundtrip in Economy.
