Fwiw, I didn't get any points for the trip I took. My BP did have my KF number rather than my AE one but when I checked with the desk at the lounge in HKG, they said the mileage was being credited to my AE account - as I had specified online. Till today, nothing's shown up. I'm not broken up about it as I shouldn't be getting the credit really but just a warning that ymmv.
Also, SQ is fine for the experience and the all you can drink Dom. The attention paid to your absolute comfort is beyond superb. They all but gave me a backrub and sponge bath. I had excellent convos with the FAs about flying in general but also the different things they've seen on their journeys and we swapped "battle stories" of places we'd been to where we didn't know the local culture. Seriously, not being rushed and being made to feel like you really are valued was something out of this world.
Now, the hard product on the other hand... with the exception of the IFE which I liked better than AC's, the seat was to big and lacked any sort of cushioning/support, bed wasn't lumpy or anything and it was okay for flying in the air but don't expect the comfort of a king sized bed with 10,000 count sheets and angel hands cupping every inch of your body. The reclining position on the seat just wasn't there - you were better off sitting up right or lying down. Midway and you couldn't really lift the leg rest or lower the back rest without going into sleeping config. Lights were a little bit difficult to use as they were tailored mostly to reading lying down or sitting straight up. The 2 windows was certainly nice and the ample storage room around was great but definitely not worth the value in $$$s. At least not on the 777.
