By chance does anyone know what sort of catering a Malaga flight would get leaving at 02:30? (If any)
Band 4 flights out of LGW have the same catering in CE but in ET it is some kind of sandwich and desert. (I have not actually seen the product myself).
The reason for the difference is the design of the 737 galleys being too small to fit the meal trolleys required to serve a hot meal and lack of oven space too.
Hopefully once the 737s go and are all replaced with Airbuses, this might change.
At one point BA were considering serving the same offering at LHR to make both bases the same but it was decided to leave the hot meal at LHR because it is very popular with the passengers.
Malaga is a Band 3 flight.
