I often fly on govt tickets, which can be reserved well ahead but are usually not actually ticketed until 3 days out. This is well within my CP window, and even the T-4 upgrade time often seen by CPs, so the ticket is instantly eligible for upgrade (if available). For a ticket purchased around 0800 EST, I have received an upgrade notice sometime late morning, so I do believe there are additional sweeps done during the day.
