Meh. Your expectations are too high.

You do make it sound like the FAs could have at least been more attentive and politely direct in explaining why they couldn't serve you any more cocktails.

But it also sounds like your expectations of receiving consistently good service are too high.

My best flights (where I chose to enjoy intoxication [think from coast to coast]) were with flight crews that I knew from flying the route frequently. I never had a problem getting excellent service and plenty of tasty cocktails (and lots of water of course). You will likely have a much better experience if you get to know the flight crews first. Kindness goes a long way. And lowering your expectations might help also.


Side note: I imagine that many FAs don't appreciate the use of the call button for service requests. I equate this with holding a little bell and jingling until a servant is at your side. But maybe that's just me. If the service was that bad and there was never an opportunity to get their attention, file a complaint. Don't keep pressing that button.
