Because I flew a lot with them between 1997 and about 2002 and had enough bad incidents of surly ground staff, butlins style air crew and customer service persons who did not answer letters to last me a life time. On the only flight I took with Ryanair during this time to Alghero in Sardinia I had no problems and found the quality of in flight catering a long way ahead of Easyjet.

I now also recall that I did fly with Easyjet at the beginning of May this year on their first ever departure from PMI to Southend on Sea. That flight was ok other than that were no sandwiches left (which is typical of Easyjet in my previous experience) but mainly because there were only 14 of us on board. This was probably because Easyjet had destroyed the chance of much One Way business through their stupid, iniquitous and totally unfair Administration Charge.

Easyjet offer free allocated seating, or select from a range of options from normal seats to speedy boarding seats to extra leg-room seats (at £8.00) and access to lounges.
What you mean is that they finally started to do this two months ago and only extremely grudgingly after they realised they were losing business to airlines like Monarch and FlyBe who had been operating the policy they have now grudgingly adopted for ages.

They still don't offer any solution for someone who needs to travel regularly on a route but only books a week or two before travel. BMI used to offer a Carnet style system for anyone in this position but no for big inflexible Orange it was too much trouble to ever think of any such thing.

As someone that has flown over 50 sectors with Easyjet, I can't agree agree about your cabin crew comments, either. The Easyjet model must work for the majority of it's passengers.... Ryanair? ~ well that doesn't work for me having been left high and dry!
Sounds like you must fly up to Edinburgh with your company then where they are considerably cheaper than BA.

However for flights to the Med in the summer they are always very expensive when booking three to one weeks before departure and offer poor fare value compared to Ryanair,TCX and TOM.
