Just completed DL-plated R1 (RGN-BKK-FRA-JFK) with no issues. Spent 2 days in Yangon, which I found to be a dump. Massage queue in BKK was around 30min.
Friend done R2 with no visa: flew into RGN on Vietnam Airlines, who had no problem checking him in after seeing proof of same-day connection. Was questioned upon arrival into RGN and then escorted into the lounge. I will probably do the same for my summer R2.
