I travel with this cable with a single integrated single hub* and can confirm that they charge and sync. I couple it with another microusb cable to charge two devices at once if they're not too smart about power consumption. 1Amp usb charger + iPhone5 + kindle doesn't seem to charge as well 1Amp usb charger + android + kindle.

*hub - well, it adds 1 M data cable and 1 F USB port as data connections to my Macbook which is what I need 90% of the time, so I'm going to call it a hub.
