Stay Review
Stayed there two weekends ago (the last weekend in December), with the two free suite nights from CC (I'm platinum).
We got to the hotel around noon and asked for an early check-in. Our room, the Belvedere suite, was still being cleaned so the front desk told us they would call when the room was ready. In the mean-time we walked around center city and got lunch at Redding Market. Just to reiterate what everyone else has said, the location couldn't be more convenient. It's close to the financial district, theater district, and plenty of bars and restaurants. The next day we talk a ~30 minute walk to South Street, and saw the Hyatt Penns landing across the river- the Bellevue is in a much better location for anyone actually looking to enjoy the city (especially by foot).
Room was ready around 1:30, and the it was exactly as we'd expected. (pictures in a previous post do it justice). Everyone was friendly, check-in was a breeze.
The next started with breakfast. For Plat's, we're allowed to order the buffet or off-the-menu. Charges were taken off the bill instantly. The buffet was one of the better ones, with the standard hot selections and a large variety of of other choices (the smoked salmon was great).
It's also worth noting that the attached gym was as good as the website promised. This would be considered a "luxury" gym in NYC. I went both mornings when it wasn't crowded. They offered classes (most were free), but I didn't attend.
All in all- a great stay. We're attending a wedding in Philly this summer, and I plan on getting a room here.
