Figured that the best way to go from the USA to Europe is from BOS to DUB. Saves quite a few $. Now - when flying from LHR to JNB - fuel charges and fees are high. Checked BA website to see if there are any other airports within Europe fly there. Seems like all they offer is transit through LHR London. And this gives quite high $ charges. Would you please make any suggestions how to avoid LHR on the way to South Africa? I called BA phone - but they are not that optimistic to offer alternatives without going through London.
Thanks!
If you are located in Canada, perhaps you may wish to avoid Europe, and use your Avios on Cathay Pacific to route Canada-HKG-JNB,or look at Malaysia which will join Oneworld at the end of february, and route via KUL.
