I would fly to LAS and from there drive to Zion National Park and then on to Bryce. The scenery is some of the most beautiful in the world. If you do a search on this forum putting Zion in the search field you will come up with a lot of good driving trips that are so worthwhile. This is an example of such a thread. But there are many.

We haven't been out there in quite a few years but I can recommend the
Desert Pearl Inn in Springdale near Zion. It's along the Virgin River and you could veg out there for a few days.
