From what I've read of the QF F lounge, I would certainly not set your expectations too high if you're assuming somethign slightly in the same league!
Oh as you say if a 14ish boy left 3/4 of a burger, that does not bode well, and after sampling the chicken signature burger in QF Sydney which was amazing, will perhaps then look for something else on the menu, eggs benedict is a favourite of mine, so could opt for that, together of course with bubbles
