+1. If there was anything that would help getting to the front of the queue for op-ups one would be stupid not to do it, unless of course you would refuse a free op-up or insist on paying the difference if it happened to you , so there is no harm asking for advice.

You probably missed something off your list of don'ts though; having young kids/babies in tow...
